I think my computer hard drive died tonight. I have an appointment at Apple’s Genius Bar tomorrow, since I can’t safeboot, I can’t run Disk Utility because the volume can’t be located, and I can’t restore from a Time Machine backup because the destination drive isn’t available.

Also: I installed an OS update yesterday morning, shut the computer down on my own, then returned last night and found unbootable.
